Modern Arabic specialty coffee brand inspired by tradition, sustainability and minimalism.
MEDINA Coffee is a contemporary Arabic coffee brand that rethinks traditional coffee culture through a modern visual language.
The goal was to create an identity system that feels premium and minimal, while preserving the emotional warmth and authenticity of Middle Eastern traditions.
Instead of using expected oriental clichés, we built a cleaner and more scalable design system inspired by spices, craft textures, architectural rhythm and traditional Arabic patterns translated into a modern graphic language.
The visual identity is based on a restrained palette: white surfaces, kraft textures and carefully balanced accents.
This approach allowed the brand to feel calm, tactile and environmentally conscious, while remaining highly recognizable across all touchpoints.
Sustainability became one of the key principles of the project.
We designed an eco-oriented packaging system that not only visually reflects the brand values, but is also adapted for responsible production solutions.
To ensure flexibility and long-term consistency, we developed an extensive brand book covering both physical and digital applications:
packaging, cups, takeaway materials, print formats, social media, communication templates and scalable graphic systems.
A custom pattern and icon system were also created specifically for the project.
Inspired by authentic Arabic ornamental structures, these graphic elements reinterpret traditional motifs through a contemporary lens, helping the brand stay culturally connected while looking progressive and globally relevant.
MEDINA Coffee became an example of how traditional Arabic coffee culture can evolve visually without losing its soul.
