To celebrate another year of Three House Club in Madeira, Liquid Design created an exclusive cocktail menu tuned to the sound of the ocean.
The drinks were inspired by the location itself — wild, radiant, and shaped by the sea. After all, what do we do with the ocean? We bask in its warmth, we face its storms, we drift with its breeze. Each feeling became a flavour, and each cocktail was paired with a seashell holding a sound to match.
Guests were invited to press the shell to their ear, feel what resonated, and choose the drink that fit their evening. It was part instinct, part theatre, and fully immersive.
Three distinct moods, three signature serves, and one simple ritual: hold a seashell to your ear and let it choose for you.
THE BEACH WALK
Sun on your skin, feet in warm sand. The rhythm of waves close enough to feel.
This drink captured that ease with a soft and aromatic base of bergamot and pink pepper distillates, lifted by gin and a bright hit of clarified lemon. A layer of blue coconut milk foam added calm, while a scoop of white vanilla ice cream melted slowly into the glass. Pure sensory escape.

Light, dry, and a little wild. It opened with tequila blanco and tangerine distillate, then tipped into sea urchin and honey for a smooth salinity. Lime brought clarity and lift. The cocktail landed like a gust of wind at just the right moment.

Not all storms need to crash. This one unfolded slowly: a mix of Gin Mare, puer tea distillate, Campari, fino sherry, and Lillet Blanc. Balanced with syrup and tensioned by bitter notes, it stayed moody but composed. The kind of drink that pulls you in, not knocks you over.
THE SMOOTH STORM
Each shell was engraved with the cocktail’s name using a laser made for carving tombstones. Our Creative Director tracked down a studio near a cemetery, the only place with a cutter strong enough to handle shell. Not exactly your average bar tool, but when it comes to guest experience, if it feels a bit too far — it’s probably just far enough.
